Plastic Door Strips

Our Plastic Door Strips are available in a diverse range of widths and thickness of Clear Plastic Strips. Plastic door strips provide an economical and simple installation solution for isolating, partitioning or sealing any area. Constructed with an aluminium extrusion (Head Section) and clear flexible soft plastic door strips, the door strips can reduce electricity consumption in Coolrooms or Coldrooms and air conditioned rooms significantly.

Vehicles such as Fork Lifts and Pallet Trolleys can go through the plastic strips and are commonly used in food distibution businesses. Some of these include Butchers door strips, Bakery door strips, food distributor plastic door strip. Also used as industrial dust control door solutions for Mines and workshops etc.

• Wall Mounted Plastic Door Strips

In most applications for Strip Doors to be wall mounted, the width is slightly increased for sealing benifits and 50mm is added to the height for the securing of the Door Strips, resulting in a 5-10mm floor clearance. When there is no vertical wall face above the opening for the plastic strip door, Lintel mounting may be the only solution. We require clear opening measurements only and we will manufacture the Plastic Strip Door to fit within the opening.

PVC Strip Doors are all manufactured to order and can be installed in applications that Clear PVC Swing Doors are not practical due to area restrictions or budget. Clear plastic strip doors are used for a wide range of applications including fork lift doors, pallet trolley doors, personnel access doors, bakery door strips, butchers door strips and more. The Blue highlighted material represents Freezer Grade Clear PVC.

CONSTRUCTION:

We use a variety of different methods to secure our plastic strips to the head section depending on the size and weight of the strip door, and the available securing method.

For most applications we supply our exclusive aluminium head section which allows the plastic strip door to be Lintel or Wall mounted. Our Strip Door aluminium extrusion accomodates a 6 x 16mm (hex head) set screw. Then the PVC strips are hole punched and secured with large washers and nuts to the head section.

For Heavy Duty PVC Strip Door applications such as commercial and industrial factories, mounting the PVC Strip Door below the existing roller door (Bulk Head) can be achieved by using a steel RHS box section suspended accross two side mounting plates secured onto the all surface either side of the opening.
